This was the old behavior of Enter in this case. So I test if we're in a macro ( mathcursor->inMacroMode()), and if so, then fall through (ie, copy the code) to the LFUN_MATH_INSERT code with "\n" as the argument. The behavior I want is just ending the macro. When typing a macro (like \alpha), then Enter ends the macro and pops you out of math mode. Update: Well, there's a bit of a problem. LFUN_BREAKPARAGRAPH is what Enter is mapped to, and it turns out that LFUN_END has better behavior than space, since the cursor moves to the end of the current math box if not already there, and exits if at the end. I changed LFUN_BREAKPARAGRAPH (and friends) to have the same behavior as LFUN_END. So I modified the InsetFormulaBase::localDispatch procedure of mathed/formulabase.C. As far as I can tell, there is no way to do this just with the configuration files. What I wanted was for the Enter key to exit the current math box (like the space bar), and for the Math-Mode key to exit math mode instead of creating a text box inside math mode. While the key bindings files allow a large amount of customization, they do not allow different behaviors in text mode and math mode. Some of the keystrokes in LyX don't quite do what I want. You also might need to modify or generate a ~/.lyx/textclass.lst file. Put the files article_with_amsthms.layout and amsthms_for_article.inc in your ~/.lyx/layouts directory. So I modified the article layout and amsmaths file. I'm not really a fan of the class amsart. I like using the plain LaTeX class article with the amsthm package. However, there were a few things that bugged me, that I have customized. LyX is very similar in philosophy to the way that I used EXP, and so the switch has been pretty painless. I have decided to switch to LyX from EXP because LyX is open source and native to Linux (getting EXP to run again when Wine was changed was really getting annoying). Customization of LyX Customization of LyX I have a speaker that automatically turns off after a certain period of inactivity, and my use case typically is open the laptop, turn the speaker on, and when the Bluetooth driver is acting normal, they will automatically reconnect. In case of Permission denied, set the file permissions so that you can run the script with chmod 755 mount_afp_when_itunes_running.sh, then try again.įinally, if everything works, you could then launch this script automatically via a Launch Agent.I seem to be having persistent issues with Bluetooth connectivity, especially after waking up my Macbook Pro from a long sleep. To check if the thing works in principle: Let’s say the script is on the Desktop, in Terminal type cd ~/Desktop/, then. VOLUMENAME is the name from the normal AFP connection dialog ( ssd in this case): You’ll have to configure the script before running it for the first time, see the variables on top of the script. If so, it checks whether your AFP volume is mounted already, and does so if not. If [ ! -d "/Volumes/$."īasically, it runs in an infinite loop and checks every two seconds if iTunes.app is running. I made a script that connects to a network drive when iTunes is running. Right now this script just displays the results but you can make it do whatever you want at this point. it sets up the application parameters in the "on run" handler and then in "on idle" it can check those parameters. You set how often it runs by returning a number of seconds at the end of the handler. "on run" runs once at application launch. The way a stay-open script works is there's 2 main handlers, the "on run" and the "on idle". Save it as an application and check the "stay open" box to make it stay open after you launch it. So here's an example applescript for you. What you need is an applescript that stays open all the time and performs its tasks periodically. Run a script whenever an application opens I could not get it to work on Lion, some syntax issues need to be resolved. Lastly, it looks like it may possible to write an Apple Script that does exactly what you want, here is a link to something that may be able to work with some modification. Run the script, you can treat it like any other Application. Name it what you like but be sure to set the file format to "Application" on the "File Format:" dropdown. wait 10 seconds adjust this time to meet your needs
The "Johnny Seven" box came in two variations, one a standard box showing a boy looking through the sights of the gun, and the second (Rare now for collectors) showed a "Battlefield" scenario behind the mounted gun with a see-through plastic lid. By creating large, colorful boxes, space could be used to market to the children that always accompanied parents while food shopping, an unusual marketing "trick" that worked well for Deluxe Reading and later copycat toy companies, such as Remco. Deluxe Reading used the Topper Toys brand to add a modern flair to their new product lines.ĭeluxe Reading was famous for creating huge package playsets that could be seen by children when viewing the top, unusable shelf in grocery store chains. Additional toy accessories were marketed under the "Johnny Seven" banner including a helmet and walkie-talkies. To replace lost components, Topper also marketed an additional spare ammunition pack that comprised a complete set of four grenade/missiles and twelve bullets. The cap firing pistol could be removed from the gun. Pull the lever back towards the stock, press the release button and you get a "rat-a-tat" machine gun noise. The bullets are fed into the chamber by a spring-loaded bolt, one at a time. Twelve white bullets are fired from a fixed magazine on the rifle. The firing button is on the left side of the rifle. The two large green shells were fired from the front of the rifle directly above the Rifle barrel. The firing button is placed underneath the launcher.Īrmor piercing shell / Anti bunker missile The red "Armour Piercing" missile is fired from a launcher located on the right of the body of the gun. The launcher extends upwards, and the spring-loaded grenade is launched by depressing a button on the side of the rifle. The toy when fully assembled was over three feet long and weighed about four pounds.Ī grenade launcher is located on top of the main body, above the pistol grip. The stock could be removed to shorten the weapon while in the "Tommy Gun" mode. Johnny Seven also featured a bipod that provided stability for the various rockets and grenade. The Grenade Launcher was on top of the gun. Three different "rockets" (The green Armour Piercing shell, Anti Bunker and the red Anti Tank fired via spring action on the main barrel. They are critical in analyzing movement within any collecting category. I am bothered by the unwillingness of people to admit differences exist. Women schedule it on their way to somewhere else. For example, men might make a special trip to fuel the car. As family managers, Dana noted that women in general plan the use of their time more efficiently than men. The Internet provides them with an opportunity to use this time to their economic advantage. While psychologists and sociologists attribute the differences to learned responses, I wonder if there is something in the genes.ĭana Morykan, senior editor at Rinker Enterprises, suggested a much simpler explanation as to why women are more active on the Internet than men. Regarding the Internet, I sense there is a higher percentage of women versus men active there than in any other sector of the trade.Įven in the age of equality in which we live, there is no escaping the guy versus gal thing. If you do not believe me, spend a few days observing the behavior variations of male and female dealers and collectors at an antiques mall, flea market or show. Males dominate.ĭo "women are from Venus and men are from Mars" attributes apply to the collecting field? They most certainly do. Go to a firearms/militaria or a toy train show. A study of record collectors revealed 98 percent are men and 2 percent are women. Few collecting categories are evenly divided between males and females. By declaring the rule in our stylesheet, we can specify the name of the typeface, the location, and the font weight. This widely supported rule allows us to download fonts from a server, or host them, so we can use them on our web pages. These fonts are downloaded by the browser while rendering the web page, and then applied to the text. They come from an included source so every user will be able to see the defined font. We do not have to rely on the user having the desired font on their machine. Web fonts are not pre-installed on the user’s system like web-safe fonts are. We have so many typefaces at our disposal that we can now choose what is best for our users, rather than having to rely on the same old web-safe fonts that we were once limited to. What are web fonts?īecause typography is so important, it is time to celebrate that huge strides have been made. But as the web evolved, more type options became available. Things began to look boring with no other web safe options, and one could argue that these typefaces weren’t the best fit for the web (after all, they did originate from print). It wasn’t that long ago that we saw the same five typefaces over and over as we surfed the web. If you’ve been designing websites for a while, or are a long time web surfer, you probably remember the days of limited typography options. Those were the fonts that were most likely on a user’s machine, so they were considered to be “web-safe” since the majority of users could view the website as intended. If you open up a stylesheet from an older site you will likely find Arial, Georgia, Times New Roman, Trebuchet MS, and/or Verdana. For a user to see the font that was intended by the designer, it was necessary that they had that available on their computer. In the early days of the web, we were stuck with web safe options, which were very limiting. They do not work well in paragraphs and should be used in situations where they appear in a large block. Display typefaces are meant to be shown in headings and other prominent areas so they stand out. This unfolded with Microsoft acquiring Danger Inc.
